| Fair Tax Coalition |
- The MPBIA supports the efforts of the Fair Tax Coalition in their fight for a more equitable commercial tax structure
- We ensure there is continuous pressure on the City to ensure the 1% tax shift continues

| Graffiti Monitoring |
- We report graffiti to the City on a regular basis to facilitate removal from City property and buildings
- Arts on the Walls will assist business members in participating in sponsored murals through a "donate a wall"program in partnership with the City Graffiti Management Program

| Let's Pitch in Program with Coast Foundation |
- 3 days/week street clean-up
- Twice weekly illegal poster removal contract

| Safety & Security |
- Sponsor the operation of a Crime Prevention Office within the BIA office
Phone: 604.874.6610 - Sponsor the regular Crime Prevention foot and bike patrols throughout the community
- Liaison with Vancouver Police on behalf of our membership
- Address any member's safety or crime concerns
- Monitor crime statistics for our community and the City
- Circulate crime alerts to our membership
- Partnership with Collingwood Community Policing Centre on various initiatives
