Who are we The Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a non-profit, non-government organization supported through a tax levy on commercial property (Class 5 & 6). The BIA is accountable to the City of Vancouver Director of Finance, and to its members, with an annual budget of over $200,000.
There are over 440 members who hold business licences within the boundaries of the BIA and lease or own commercial premises. There are also over 180 commercial class 5 and 6 property owners. Although residents and home-based businesses are not members, they are valued stakeholders in the BIA.
The BIA has a volunteer Board of Directors. A resource office is located at the historic Heritage Hall, 3rd floor at Main Street and 15th Avenue. | | BIA Staff | | Lynn Warwick | - Executive Director |
